# Verizon Protect vs Glance Widgets

The clearest difference is ads: Verizon Protect at none against Glance Widgets's shown. Verizon Protect also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 38%) and ratings volume (45K vs 84). Glance Widgets's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Verizon Protect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Verizon Protect has 45K ratings behind it against 84, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Verizon Protect's written reviews are positive against 38% of Glance Widgets's.

Verizon Protect ships an update every 3 weeks, Glance Widgets every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
