# Screen Recorder vs IoT

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: IoT at none against Screen Recorder's 13. Screen Recorder's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 70 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. IoT asks for nothing beyond the download.

Screen Recorder ships an update monthly, IoT every 70 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
