# Screen Recorder vs Voice Diary and Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Screen Recorder at 4.3 against Voice Diary and Notes's 3.5. Screen Recorder also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (11K vs 4). Voice Diary and Notes's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 13) and update cadence (daily vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Voice Diary and Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder has 11K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Screen Recorder's written reviews are positive against 50% of Voice Diary and Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Recorder ships an update monthly, Voice Diary and Notes daily. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
