# Water Well Logger vs ShiftFlow

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShiftFlow at every 3 weeks against Water Well Logger's every 4 months. ShiftFlow also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 3) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). Water Well Logger's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Water Well Logger sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $199.99 per year and ShiftFlow sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Water Well Logger holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShiftFlow has 2.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Water Well Logger ships an update every 4 months, ShiftFlow every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
