# Simple Spreadsheet vs 21 Card Counter

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 21 Card Counter at 100% against Simple Spreadsheet's 44%. 21 Card Counter also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6). Simple Spreadsheet's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (6.9K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Spreadsheet sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. 21 Card Counter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simple Spreadsheet holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Spreadsheet has 6.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Simple Spreadsheet's written reviews are positive against 100% of 21 Card Counter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simple Spreadsheet ships an update every 3 weeks, 21 Card Counter fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
