# Simple Spreadsheet vs PDF Wizard

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Wizard at 5.0 against Simple Spreadsheet's 4.6. Simple Spreadsheet's advantage is ratings volume (6.9K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Spreadsheet sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year and PDF Wizard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Wizard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Spreadsheet has 6.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simple Spreadsheet ships an update every 3 weeks, PDF Wizard fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
