# FlickJot vs Readwise

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Readwise at 1.5K against FlickJot's 17. Readwise also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlickJot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Readwise sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Readwise holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readwise has 1.5K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of FlickJot's written reviews are positive against 72% of Readwise's.

FlickJot ships an update every 5 weeks, Readwise every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
