# WiseList vs Flatmates

The clearest difference is rating: Flatmates at 4.5 against WiseList's 2.6. Flatmates also leads on ratings volume (57 vs 10). WiseList's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 16%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WiseList sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Flatmates sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flatmates holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flatmates has 57 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of WiseList's written reviews are positive against 16% of Flatmates's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WiseList ships an update fortnightly, Flatmates every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
