# Robo Shield vs Permit

The clearest difference is update cadence: Permit at monthly against Robo Shield's every 2 months. Robo Shield's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Robo Shield sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Permit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Robo Shield ships an update every 2 months, Permit monthly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
