# Message Templates vs Craft

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Craft at 6.6K against Message Templates's 10. Message Templates's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Message Templates sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Craft sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Message Templates holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Craft has 6.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Message Templates's written reviews are positive against 85% of Craft's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Message Templates ships an update fortnightly, Craft every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
