# UIC SAFE vs OPPC

The clearest difference is rating: OPPC at 5.0 against UIC SAFE's 3.6. UIC SAFE's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OPPC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UIC SAFE has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UIC SAFE ships an update every 4 months, OPPC every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
