# Continue Camera vs PauseCam

The clearest difference is rating: PauseCam at 3.9 against Continue Camera's 2.8. PauseCam also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Continue Camera's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 25%) and ratings volume (52 vs 9). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Continue Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PauseCam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PauseCam holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Continue Camera has 52 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Continue Camera's written reviews are positive against 25% of PauseCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Continue Camera ships an update every 3 months, PauseCam weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
