# Armchair Commander vs Beast Talk

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Beast Talk at none against Armchair Commander's 6. Beast Talk also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Armchair Commander's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 16). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Armchair Commander sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Beast Talk asks for nothing beyond the download.

Beast Talk holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Armchair Commander has 1.1K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Armchair Commander's written reviews are positive against 75% of Beast Talk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Armchair Commander ships an update every 3 weeks, Beast Talk every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
