# Beamafilm vs Media Stack

The clearest difference is update cadence: Media Stack at every 2 days against Beamafilm's every 2 months. Beamafilm's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beamafilm sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Media Stack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beamafilm ships an update every 2 months, Media Stack every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
