# Flash Cards + vs Reminder Notifications

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flash Cards + at none against Reminder Notifications's 5. Flash Cards + also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks). Reminder Notifications's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 87). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reminder Notifications sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Flash Cards + asks for nothing beyond the download.

Reminder Notifications holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reminder Notifications has 1.4K ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Flash Cards +'s written reviews are positive against 61% of Reminder Notifications's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flash Cards + ships an update every 5 days, Reminder Notifications every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on August 3, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
