# Boomerang Video Maker vs Loop Vid

The clearest difference is ads: Boomerang Video Maker at none against Loop Vid's shown. Boomerang Video Maker also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 84 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). Loop Vid's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 23%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boomerang Video Maker sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Loop Vid sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Boomerang Video Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boomerang Video Maker has 6.4K ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Boomerang Video Maker's written reviews are positive against 33% of Loop Vid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Boomerang Video Maker ships an update every 5 weeks, Loop Vid every 84 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
