# OVID vs Num

The clearest difference is ads: OVID at none against Num's shown. Num's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OVID sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Num sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OVID ships an update every 3 months, Num every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
