# LockTrip vs Lyntel eSIM

The clearest difference is rating: Lyntel eSIM at 4.7 against LockTrip's 4.2. Lyntel eSIM also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lyntel eSIM holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lyntel eSIM has 26 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of LockTrip's written reviews are positive against 73% of Lyntel eSIM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LockTrip ships an update monthly, Lyntel eSIM weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
