# MODAN vs Pivot

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MODAN at none against Pivot's 1. MODAN also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). Pivot's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 17 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pivot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MODAN asks for nothing beyond the download.

MODAN ships an update every 17 months, Pivot every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
