# Turtles vs Alpha|Beta

The clearest difference is update cadence: Alpha|Beta at daily against Turtles's monthly. Alpha|Beta also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Turtles's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alpha|Beta holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Turtles has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Turtles ships an update monthly, Alpha|Beta daily. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
