# CDL Prep vs Techly

The clearest difference is update cadence: Techly at every 4 months against CDL Prep's every 8 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CDL Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Techly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
