# Falling Word Game vs Word Free Time

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Word Free Time at 23K against Falling Word Game's 20. Word Free Time also leads on chart position (#191 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Falling Word Game sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Word Free Time sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Free Time holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Free Time has 23K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Falling Word Game's written reviews are positive against 73% of Word Free Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
