# Gem Vault vs edikted

The clearest difference is rating: edikted at 4.9 against Gem Vault's 4.5. edikted also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (15K vs 533). Gem Vault's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 58%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

edikted holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: edikted has 15K ratings behind it against 533, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Gem Vault's written reviews are positive against 58% of edikted's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gem Vault ships an update every 5 weeks, edikted every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
