# Exif Metadata vs CertiPhoto

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CertiPhoto at 98% against Exif Metadata's 42%. CertiPhoto also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Exif Metadata's advantage is ratings volume (6K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exif Metadata sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and CertiPhoto sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CertiPhoto holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Exif Metadata has 6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Exif Metadata's written reviews are positive against 98% of CertiPhoto's.

Exif Metadata ships an update fortnightly, CertiPhoto every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
