# PDF Scanner Document Converter vs Printer

The clearest difference is monetization model: PDF Scanner Document Converter at free with in-app purchases against Printer's subscription. PDF Scanner Document Converter also leads on review sentiment (32% vs 0%) and ratings volume (545 vs 55). Printer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Scanner Document Converter sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Printer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for PDF Scanner Document Converter against 4.5 for Printer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Scanner Document Converter has 545 ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of PDF Scanner Document Converter's written reviews are positive against 0% of Printer's.

PDF Scanner Document Converter ships an update every 2 weeks, Printer every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
