# BoulderBook Spraywall Climbing vs BoulderBot

The clearest difference is update cadence: BoulderBook Spraywall Climbing at every 3 days against BoulderBot's every 5 weeks. BoulderBook Spraywall Climbing also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 75%). BoulderBot's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BoulderBook Spraywall Climbing sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and BoulderBot sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoulderBot holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of BoulderBook Spraywall Climbing's written reviews are positive against 75% of BoulderBot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BoulderBook Spraywall Climbing ships an update every 3 days, BoulderBot every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
