# READsquared vs C

The clearest difference is rating: C at 5.0 against READsquared's 2.0. C also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). READsquared's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

C holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: READsquared has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

READsquared ships an update every 2 months, C every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
