# Spexi vs HDMI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Spexi at 100% against HDMI's 52%. Spexi also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.9) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). HDMI's advantage is ratings volume (74 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Spexi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HDMI has 74 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Spexi's written reviews are positive against 52% of HDMI's.

Spexi ships an update monthly, HDMI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
