# 101 vs Anomaly

The clearest difference is rating: 101 at 4.9 against Anomaly's 4.0. 101 also leads on ratings volume (27 vs 3). Anomaly's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 101 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Anomaly asks for nothing beyond the download.

101 holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 101 has 27 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of 101's written reviews are positive against 90% of Anomaly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

101 ships an update every 9 days, Anomaly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
