# Private Pilot Test Prep vs FlightKit

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Private Pilot Test Prep at 1.5K against FlightKit's 4. FlightKit's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Private Pilot Test Prep sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and FlightKit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlightKit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Private Pilot Test Prep has 1.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Private Pilot Test Prep's written reviews are positive against 100% of FlightKit's.
