# Rocket Buddy vs Run & Hide

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Run & Hide at none against Rocket Buddy's 8. Run & Hide also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 28 months) and review sentiment (88% vs 69%). Rocket Buddy's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 24) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rocket Buddy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Run & Hide asks for nothing beyond the download.

Rocket Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rocket Buddy has 11K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Rocket Buddy's written reviews are positive against 88% of Run & Hide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rocket Buddy ships an update every 28 months, Run & Hide every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
