# Aloha VPN vs Barcode Scanner for Knack

The clearest difference is rating: Barcode Scanner for Knack at 5.0 against Aloha VPN's 4.3. Barcode Scanner for Knack also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (11.1 vs 16.0). Aloha VPN's advantage is ratings volume (351 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aloha VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Barcode Scanner for Knack asks for nothing beyond the download.

Barcode Scanner for Knack holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aloha VPN has 351 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Aloha VPN's written reviews are positive against 50% of Barcode Scanner for Knack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
