# Twobird vs Routine

The clearest difference is rating: Routine at 5.0 against Twobird's 4.2. Routine also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). Twobird's advantage is ratings volume (446 vs 3) and review sentiment (54% vs 37%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Routine holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twobird has 446 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Twobird's written reviews are positive against 37% of Routine's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Twobird ships an update every 2 weeks, Routine weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
