# Ticks vs Hamoru

The clearest difference is ads: Hamoru at none against Ticks's shown. Hamoru also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). Ticks's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ticks sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Hamoru sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ticks ships an update every 3 months, Hamoru every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
