# 剪影 vs Video Editor

The clearest difference is rating: 剪影 at 4.8 against Video Editor's 3.0. 剪影 also leads on ratings volume (2.6K vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). Video Editor's advantage is iOS requirement (11.3 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 剪影 sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Video Editor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

剪影 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 剪影 has 2.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

剪影 ships an update every 5 days, Video Editor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
