# PrepFE vs PPI

The clearest difference is rating: PPI at 4.6 against PrepFE's 2.0. PPI also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). PrepFE's advantage is review sentiment (17% vs 0%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrepFE sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. PPI asks for nothing beyond the download.

PPI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 57 and 35 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of PrepFE's written reviews are positive against 0% of PPI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PrepFE ships an update every 2 months, PPI every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
