# pixelwave wallpapers vs Aestethic Wallpaper

The clearest difference is rating: Aestethic Wallpaper at 4.5 against pixelwave wallpapers's 3.2. Aestethic Wallpaper also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 13) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 14 months). pixelwave wallpapers's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aestethic Wallpaper holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aestethic Wallpaper has 10K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of pixelwave wallpapers's written reviews are positive against 60% of Aestethic Wallpaper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

pixelwave wallpapers ships an update every 14 months, Aestethic Wallpaper every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
