# wizScan PDF document scanner vs Scanner HD

The clearest difference is review sentiment: wizScan PDF document scanner at 96% against Scanner HD's 54%. wizScan PDF document scanner also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Scanner HD's advantage is ratings volume (316 vs 8) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. wizScan PDF document scanner sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Scanner HD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scanner HD holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scanner HD has 316 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of wizScan PDF document scanner's written reviews are positive against 54% of Scanner HD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

wizScan PDF document scanner ships an update monthly, Scanner HD fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
