# ClayLab vs Potfolio

The clearest difference is monetization model: ClayLab at freemium against Potfolio's subscription. ClayLab also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (366 vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ClayLab sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Potfolio sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ClayLab holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ClayLab has 366 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ClayLab ships an update every 2 months, Potfolio monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
