# smrtPhone vs Niche Community

The clearest difference is monetization model: Niche Community at free against smrtPhone's free with in-app purchases. Niche Community also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). smrtPhone's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 54). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Niche Community holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: smrtPhone has 1.4K ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two.
