# Instrument Test Prep vs Flight Apprentice

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flight Apprentice at none against Instrument Test Prep's 4. Flight Apprentice also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.1). Instrument Test Prep's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instrument Test Prep sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Flight Apprentice asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Instrument Test Prep against 5.0 for Flight Apprentice. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Instrument Test Prep has 155 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.
