# equ app vs Baseline Active

The clearest difference is rating: Baseline Active at 4.5 against equ app's 2.3. Baseline Active also leads on ratings volume (41 vs 11) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). equ app's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. equ app sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $39.90 per 7 days and Baseline Active sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Baseline Active holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 41 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of equ app's written reviews are positive against 38% of Baseline Active's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

equ app ships an update every 2 days, Baseline Active every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
