# Phomemo vs Coconote

The clearest difference is rating: Coconote at 4.8 against Phomemo's 4.6. Phomemo's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 71%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phomemo sells 24 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Coconote sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coconote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6.5K and 17K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Phomemo's written reviews are positive against 71% of Coconote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Phomemo ships an update every 10 days, Coconote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
