# Gexa Energy vs Base Power

Gexa Energy and Base Power both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of Base Power's written reviews are positive against 22% of Gexa Energy's. Gexa Energy's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 45). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gexa Energy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gexa Energy has 11K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Gexa Energy's written reviews are positive against 74% of Base Power's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gexa Energy ships an update every 2 weeks, Base Power every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
