# Science Town vs How do Things Fly?

Science Town and How do Things Fly? both sit at 3.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of How do Things Fly?'s written reviews are positive against 40% of Science Town's. Science Town's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 3) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Science Town sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and How do Things Fly? sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Science Town holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Science Town's written reviews are positive against 80% of How do Things Fly?'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Science Town ships an update every 7 months, How do Things Fly? every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
