# SofaBaton vs HunterSMART™ (SIMPLEconnect®)

The clearest difference is rating: HunterSMART™ (SIMPLEconnect®) at 3.6 against SofaBaton's 2.4. HunterSMART™ (SIMPLEconnect®) also leads on ratings volume (4.3K vs 306). SofaBaton's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 12%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HunterSMART™ (SIMPLEconnect®) holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HunterSMART™ (SIMPLEconnect®) has 4.3K ratings behind it against 306, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of SofaBaton's written reviews are positive against 12% of HunterSMART™ (SIMPLEconnect®)'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SofaBaton ships an update every 2 weeks, HunterSMART™ (SIMPLEconnect®) every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
