# Larva VPN vs Cable VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Cable VPN at free with in-app purchases against Larva VPN's subscription. Cable VPN also leads on review sentiment (69% vs 43%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Larva VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Larva VPN against 4.6 for Cable VPN. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 848 and 726 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of Larva VPN's written reviews are positive against 69% of Cable VPN's.
