# SmartPoint Connect vs TinoSec

The clearest difference is rating: SmartPoint Connect at 4.7 against TinoSec's 3.6. SmartPoint Connect also leads on ratings volume (3.9K vs 452) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16). TinoSec's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartPoint Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartPoint Connect has 3.9K ratings behind it against 452, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of SmartPoint Connect's written reviews are positive against 54% of TinoSec's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartPoint Connect ships an update every 8 months, TinoSec fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
