# Daylist vs Passwords for Nextcloud

The clearest difference is rating: Daylist at 4.7 against Passwords for Nextcloud's 4.1. Daylist also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (88 vs 21). Passwords for Nextcloud's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (79% vs 69%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daylist sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Passwords for Nextcloud sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daylist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 88 and 21 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Daylist's written reviews are positive against 79% of Passwords for Nextcloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daylist ships an update every 9 days, Passwords for Nextcloud every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
