# Remootio vs DoorRemote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Remootio at 54% against DoorRemote's 0%. Remootio also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (60 vs 2). DoorRemote's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DoorRemote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remootio has 60 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Remootio's written reviews are positive against 0% of DoorRemote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Remootio ships an update every 6 weeks, DoorRemote every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
